Lake Chelan, in northern Washington State, is the third-deepest lake in the United States, at over 1400 feet. This view is taken from the upper end of the fifty mile long lake, by Fred Kiser, one of the best-known scenic photographers in the country in the early 1900s. We are looking towards the southeast.
