While we can't quite read the names of the ships in this photo, we can certainly see the names of many of the buildings on the west shore of the Willamette River. In detail view 1, behind the sternwheeler, is W. P. Fuller & Company's Warehouse No. 2. They were a west coast paint company with headquarters in California. In detail view 2 are three Portland businesses from that era: Corbett, Failing & Robertson Hardware; Mooney, Valentine & Goldsmith Dry Goods; and Jones Cash Store. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
