The rider of an Indian motorcycle loses control in this third image of racing in Oregon City by photographer Ralph Eddy. Note the proximity of the residential neighborhood below the course. Begun in 1903 in New York, by 1920 motorcycle hill climbs had captured the imagination of racers and spectators across the country.
