Details

A good-sized crowd has turned out at Coquille's stadium for their baseball rivalry game against nearby Marshfield (now Coos Bay). In 1900 the entire population of Coquille was 728.

Detail view 1 gives us a better view of the action on the field, while detail view 2 shows some of the houses on the outskirts of Coquille beyond the right field foul line fence. Stauff , based in Arago, six miles from Coquille, took a lot of photos of this early Oregon rivalry.
