We're looking up Broadway, with the Park Blocks on the left. Note the lack of electric lines. The bridge is the original Morrison Bridge, Portland's first bridge across the Willamette, a wooden swing-span structure completed just three years earlier in 1887. See detail view 1 for a closer look. Overviews of towns were popular photos in the 1800s, and still are today. It's fun to look at how particular areas have changed over time. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
