According to the description on the back of our original print, "Nature Coasting" was one of the principal summer-snow amusements in Rainier National Park. Participants were provided with "tin breeches" by their guides in Paradise Valley.
The photo also notes, "Usually before the end of the slide is reached the order of starting has been considerably disarranged."
