Portland's first fireboat, the George H. Williams, was purchased in 1904. This striking image shows it or a sister ship showing off by simultaneously shooting ten streams of water. We can date this photo from the commercial signs, seen more clearly in detail view 2.
Notable are the Failing-McCalman Co. on the left, the Jones Cash Store, and M. L. Kline Plumbing and Steam Supplies.
