This striking image of Bandon Beach was captured by Oregon postcard photographer Ralph Eddy in 1932.
This striking image of Bandon Beach was captured by Oregon postcard photographer Ralph Eddy in 1932. I've maintained his original title, though I did need to learn what a "strand" is in this context.
Apparently, it is not quite the same as a beach - it is specifically the stretch of sand between the ocean and the shore. In any event, Eddy has nicely composed this image, including almost all the elements we identify with the Oregon coast.
