This view contains all the classic elements of an Oregon Coast photo - wind-swept trees, craggy rocks, white-crested surf entering an inlet, and of course dramatic clouds in the sky.
This view contains all the classic elements of an Oregon Coast photo - wind-swept trees, craggy rocks, white-crested surf entering an inlet, and of course dramatic clouds in the sky. Likely taken near Newport, where Albert Thomas, the photographer, owned a souvenir store.
I've been unable to identify precisely where this particular "Pirate's Cove" is located -- it's a popular name. As with many Thomas photos, the proportions are long and slender, in this case accentuating the vertical dimension of the scene.
