Elmer J. Seeley, the manager and operator of the Albany Creamery, uses a butter worker - a machine that rolls the partly finished butter to press out any remaining buttermilk and to work salt into the butter.. His assistant is cutting and packaging the pressed butter into individual blocks, which are then stacked inside wooden boxes to be delivered to stores.
Seeley managed the creamery from 1895 to 1900, when he started the Albany Butter and Produce Company.
