This especially detailed view of Willamette Falls features Station A, the first electrical power plant at the falls and the source of the first long-distance transmission of electricity in the U.S. Detail view 1 shows how crisp the detail is, focusing in on the lifeboats on the steamboat and the official "No Admittance" sign for Station A.
Detail view 2 gives us a rare glimpse of Moehnke's Mill, which operated from 1898 to 1918, and supplied much of the lumber for homes built in Willamette, a town now part of West Linn. The electric line for the trolley to Willamette is also visible part-way up the slope on the far shore.
