While this view is not signed, we attribute it to Moorhouse since it so closely resembles some of his other photos. As Indian Agent for the Umatillas, Moorhouse was himself responsible in 1890 for acquiring funds for the school buildings, which make up most of the structures in this photo.
He began his photography career in about 1898, and this photo was taken soon after that.
While the school no longer operates at this location, many of the buildings still stand, though some are vacant. You can see them to the south of the highway where the sign refers to them as the Warm Springs Campus.
