This is the upper entrance of the eight-mile-long Dalles-Celilo Canal, about halfway through its construction process. In detail view 1 can be seen three sternwheelers, one of which is the Inland Empire, one of the first boats to pass through the canal upon completion. In detail view 2 are some of the buildings of the Native America Celilo Village.
