An unnamed U. S. warship passes under the St. Johns bridge on its way back down the Willamette River. We're looking northeast, towards St. Johns. The date recorded by photographer Ralph Eddy is July 6th, 1933 - probably a bit late for a vessel leaving the annual Rose Festival held in June. Detail view 1 shows a few sailors on deck enjoying the view of the West Hills. Detail view 2 reveals some of the houseboats moored on the southwest side of the river.
