Two fishermen stop by the studio in Oregon City for a professional portrait. Good closeup of late nineteenth century fishing attire.
Two fishermen stop by the studio in Oregon City for a professional portrait. (No, it's not the first line of an old joke, though the juxtaposition of fishing coveralls and a formal background is at least mildly amusing, don't you think?)
Taken at New York Studio, probably when it was owned by Robert K. Clavering from 1892 through 1897. Good closeup of late nineteenth century fishing attire. The more you look at it, the more you start wondering about the two men's stories.
