It appears the photographer will need to move his camera pretty soon, as the steam engine approaches him somewhere along the Columbia River. While we get a good view of the train and its wake of smoke and steam (detail view 1), the focus is on the rails and ties, their connections, and the gravel base below (detail view 2). -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
