Colorized Prints

We didn't colorize these images. Each is a careful recreation of a black and white (or sepia) photograph that was hand-tinted by accomplished artists, usually about one hundred years ago.

Before the days of true color photography, these views were immensely popular. Today, we appreciate the painterly quality of the final image - an individual touch that is different than modern photographs.
