This image is from a glass negative created by early Sunset Magazine photographer Howard Tibbits, who visited Crater Lake in about 1908. Most of his photos are of California and the Southwest, but he occasionally traveled further north. He often included Native Americans in his scenes, and unlike many others of his time, photographed them in their everyday clothes rather than dressing them up in more ceremonial garb.
