This detailed pastoral view features two men showing off their new bridge to the ladies. Another man tends some horses to the left. While the original by Oregon photographer J. G. Crawford is not titled, it was acquired from the estate of Dan B. Keating, himself a photographer in the Marshfield area. Thus we are locating this scene near the coast in Coos County. The topography certainly looks like that area, and the height of the bridge indicates the small stream was prone to flooding, as one would expect in a coastal area. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
