According to a note on the envelope holding his negative, photographer Ralph Eddy considered this view to be "my favorite Mt. Hood". It's easy to see why.
According to a note on the envelope holding his negative, photographer Ralph Eddy considered this view to be "my favorite Mt. Hood". It's easy to see why. As a postcard photographer, Eddy created many images of Mt. Hood - a popular destination for car tourists pretty much since there have been cars.
This particular scene is elegant in its simplicity, and Eddy's capturing of a snowscape is as good as any.
