Softball at the Oregon City Woolen Mill Picnic - 1919

This great action photo by Ralph Eddy captures an instant in a softball game from almost a century ago so well that we feel we're part of the scene today. While the game takes place at a company picnic, the participants are fully dressed for the occasion.

I especially enjoy the huge bow worn by the catcher.
