This photo was taken in Portland about the time of her marriage in 1882 to Cosby D. Dickerson, who worked at the Oregon City Woolen Mills as a carpenter. In 1898, Sarah and Cosby were divorced.
With the help of her son Arthur, Sarah built a house in the early 1900s on 114 Apperson Street in Canemah that is still standing today. Sarah worked as a practical nurse in the Mount Brothers Hospital in Oregon City. She died in 1932.
