Who can resist a mother-and-child photo when both are soft and furry? This farm scene from a century ago shows that some things do not change.

Taken shortly after Oregon photographer Jesse Meiser moved to the Eureka area in northern California. We've included some of his California photos on our site because, well, we think they're great photos, and feature every-day subjects not often found elsewhere. As with our other Meiser photos, this one is reproduced from the original glass negative, giving it good sharpness and detail.
