Guided trips to Nisqually Glacier were a big draw for visitors staying at Mt. Rainier's Paradise Inn. Here we see a group of twelve, mostly women, who have taken the 45 minute walk from the Inn. The description on the back of the original publicity photo assures us, " Parties visiting the glaciers, equipped in this way, are under the direction of competent guides."
