One of the great lodges of the Pacific Northwest, Mount Baker Lodge lasted for only about four years.
Built in 1927, it was destroyed in a fire in 1931, although the annex, inn and cabins survived.
This photo of the lodge was taken by Bert Huntoon, an engineer and road builder who was one of the partners responsible for creating Mount Baker Lodge.
