Another in a series of detailed logging photos by John F. Ford, this view shows the type of small shed often constructed around steam donkeys to protect the operators (and the machinery) from the worst of the weather. It's not clear how the shed was anchored to the partly-buried wooden sled that was used to drag the donkey from one site to another. It's possible it was designed to allow the shed to also move with the machinery, so it didn't have to be rebuilt at each location. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
