Built in 1860, Standard Mills was one of the largest and most important flour mills in early Oregon. It was capable of producing over 250 barrels of flour per day. It ended operations in 1884, and collapsed in 1901 after the owners were ordered to tear it down and all of its metal structural bindings had been removed.
