A small group poses for a portrait at Schnoerr's Park, a private park located across the Tualatin from the town of Willamette. The White automobile helps date the photo, as White changed from right-side controls to left-side controls in 1912.
Two well-known locals are at the right - Sheriff Ernest T. Mass, who was first elected in 1911, and his wife Nola. Though they owned a house in Willamette, they were required to move to Oregon City for the years that Mass served as county sheriff.
