Shepperd's Dell Bridge spans Young Creek near the west end of the historic highway. Its solid wall above the arch was later imitated by some of Conde McCullough's bridges. Designed by Billner under the direction of Samuel B. Lancaster, it was the second bridge built on the historic highway, and was completed in 1914. Billner believed it was one of the strongest and best constructed bridges on the highway.
