This view along the rim of Crater Lake features Sentinel Rock, the bare rock formation beyond the trees that reaches to the upper left corner of the photo. The apparently small island is Phantom Ship Island, actually over 160 feet high, which gives us some idea of the scale of the lake.
The original for this photo is stamped on the back "Kiser's Studio, Scenic America Company, Portland, Oregon" which indicates a date somewhere between 1915 and 1925.
