This 1880s view of bank fishing in the Columbia shows three fishermen, two of them displaying what I'd call fairly small fish. It's reproduced from a high-quality stereoview created by T. W. Ingersoll, a St. Paul, Minnesota photographer considered by some to be one of the top three early photographers of Yellowstone. The back of the photo invites the viewer to "Send Four Cents for ILLUSTRATED CATALOGUE". Now if I could just find four cents... -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
