Notable for its complete lack of women or children, this 1871 depiction of the Oregon Trail displays some of the diversions of the trip - cooking, smoking, and fiddling. Published in Harper's Weekly in December of 1871, this view was created by Albert Bobbett and Alfred Waud.

The wagons arriving in the background while our group is already settling in is an accurate depiction; often during the day the wagon train would become strung out for miles along the trail.
