Meiser has lighted this view to show off his photography studio as much as himself and his camera. This photo was probably taken in his Vancouver, Washington studio, which is where he was based when he took his other photos featured on this site. We know his son was born in Oregon in 1895, and some of his photos marked Vancouver are dated as late as 1902.
Meiser later moved to Eureka, California, where he worked as a photographer until the 1930s. In California, he was especially known for his logging photos.
