As this photo demonstrates, the focus of Willamette Valley agriculture has long been small specialty farms, which today includes fruit, vegetables, and nursery stock.

Some things have changed, however. Rows up and down a steep slope, like those in the foreground, are now uncommon, replaced mostly by contour planting that became popular a half century ago.
Detail view one shows a temporary packing tent, with a horse-drawn wagon nearby filled with packing boxes, probably from the orchards to the right. And detail view two shows a cluster of houses and outbuildings in the distance - perhaps for siblings now sharing the original family acreage.
