This detailed early photo provides a good view of the mills in Oregon City, Willamette Falls, and the newly built locks on the other side of the river. Important buildings include Imperial Flour Mills on the left, the Phoenix Hotel (an expanded version of the McLoughlin House) below that, Oregon Woolen Mills - the long building in the center, and the Samuel K. Barlow house with its pointed roof in the lower right corner.
