This overview of Oregon City shows all levels - from West Linn in the foreground, to the river and its bluffs, across downtown Oregon City, up the elevator to the upper part of town, to snow-capped Mt. Hood in the distance. Detail view 1 shows the history - the older wooden buildings with patched roofs near the waterfront. Detail view 2 includes some of the newer, more substantial buildings. In fact, Oregon City had just entered the depression, and while it may not have been apparent, city stalwarts like the woolen mills were beginning their declines.
