This unknown couple are probably members of the Northern Shoshone or Bannock tribes, based on other photos taken at the time by Benedicte Wrensted. Wrensted began her photography career in Horsens, Denmark, and continued it after moving to Pocatello in 1895. For seventeen years she took portraits of Euro-Americans and Native Americans. In 1912, the year she became an American citizen, she ended her career as a photographer. Wrensted died in Los Angeles in 1949, a month before her 90th birthday. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
