This idyllic view shows three boys, likely brothers, pausing in their exploration of the banks of the Applegate River south of Grants Pass. The Applegate, at a bit over 50 miles in length, is a tributary of the Rogue River in southern Oregon. But on a day like this, the calm water reflecting the sky, buzzing dragonflies, and with luck, a few fish are what's important. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
