There are lots of fascinating details in this photo of the climbing club the Mazamas as they break for lunch, during a climb at Mt. Adams. First is the table itself, which appears to be a long cloth supported by chickenwire. Dishes are enamel-ware, and there's no sign of freeze-dried food at this meal. It's hard to tell in a black-and-white/sepia photo, but it sure looks to me like there are a lot of sun-burned noses in this group. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
