This photograph down Buck Street towards the Willamette River in the Bolton area of West Linn, a few years after Bolton was platted in 1896. The Clackamas River can be seen entering the Willamette on the other side. Bolton was one of a number of neighborhoods that began after the suspension bridge from Oregon City was opened in 1888. It, along with others, became part of West Linn in 1913.
