Originally opened in 1915, Crater Lake Lodge was significantly expanded from 1922 through 1924, doubling the number of guest rooms and adding private bathrooms to the lodge's new wing.
Originally opened in 1915, Crater Lake Lodge was significantly expanded from 1922 through 1924, doubling the number of guest rooms and adding private bathrooms to the lodge's new wing. This view was created by Ralph Eddy shortly afterwards as one of his earlier postcard views.
Automobile tourism was in full swing by this time, as can be seen by the number of cars surrounding the lodge. Note the car camping equipment shown in detail view 2.
