Salmon Fishing at the Mouth of the Clackamas River - 1937

Hoglines are nothing new on the Willamette River, as is evidenced by this eighty year old photo taken by Ralph Eddy at the mouth of the Clackamas. Many boats of fishermen have turned out to try to gather their shares of the bounty the river has to offer.

Detail view 2 shows that then, as now, part of the attraction was the visiting that occurred from boat to boat.
