This image of Multnomah Falls is from a glass negative by George Weister, created shortly before the concrete bridge was built in 1914. While this photo is best described as "between the bridges", since there was an earlier timber bridge, it conveys the sense of what the falls looked like for thousands of years before bridges were first built for visitors.
