This hand-tinted view of Crater Lake was created by scenic photographers Cross and Dimmitt of Portland in the mid 1920s. While the partners focused on the Columbia Gorge, they also found time to visit Crater Lake and other Oregon tourist destinations. Warm colors in the sky were typical for them. The original for this image was a 7 by 10 inch matted photographic print.
