This Fred Kiser photo looks upstream along the Columbia River, with the town of Lyle in the distance. The entrance to the 755 foot Chamberlain Lake Railroad Tunnel is on the left.
As trains emerge from this tunnel, they cross a causeway that separates Chamberlain Lake from the river. A similar view can be seen today from the Chamberlain Lake Rest Area, along Washington State Highway 14.
