Photographer Clark Kinsey is best know for his logging photos, but he also had a great touch for scenic views of the Pacific Northwest. Here he has captures the newly completed Vista House at Crown Point, with the Columbia Gorge stretching out into the distance. Completed in 1918, Vista House was built as a rest stop observatory for travelers on the old Columbia River Gorge Highway and as a memorial honoring Oregon’s pioneers—particularly those who made their way down the Columbia River. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
