This highly detailed photo of Castle Rock (now called Beacon Rock) was taken looking upstream from the north bank of the Columbia River by Vancouver photographer Jesse Meiser. Our reproduction is created from the original six by eight inch glass plate negative, which accounts for the crisp image communicated by the two detail views.
