The photographer's title apparently refers to the person in the cabin, rather than the train, which seems to be getting through heading up-river. Columbia Gorge basalt bluffs can be seen in the distance in detail 1. Detail 2 shows the snow-covered outline of a vegetable garden, located on a north slope but likely in the sunniest spot near the cabin. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
