The crew that uses the screw jacks to maneuver logs poses here in the yard in front of a covered steam donkey. Note the half-buried logs that allow the larger logs to be more easily rolled from side to side. On the log on the left, we can see it's the lowest section of the tree, as it still has evidence of its original ax cut and splinters where it broke as it fell.
