There are lots of cross-bars on the power poles in this view looking north on Grand Avenue. No wonder they needed the poles to be so tall.

Some of these buildings still exist today. The building with the tiled roof tower above the back of the car, at Grand and Alder, is today the home of Atlasta Lock and Key. And in the distance, at Washington, we can see the ornate tower on the corner of the building that now houses Northwest Bank.
